Using properly trained and certified raters is critical to ensure the integrity of any exam that is based on subjective, human evaluations.

MSR specializes in leading training sessions for raters of simulation based and oral tests. These training sessions are held routinely for raters at MSR, as well as for raters who conduct oral tests outside of MSR.

The training covers both theoretical issues and practical applications. The latter include simulated scenarios with a role-playing test-taker, followed by analysis of the rater’s performance using video of the simulated testing. This process of analysis and reflection enables the raters to learn acceptable behaviors and internalize a consistent and standardized evaluation scale.
