The field of nursing encompasses an entire range of services rendered for the wellbeing of the patient, under the supervision of a physician but often outside the sphere of pure medical treatment. MSR trains nurses and nursing teams, at various professional levels and areas of specialization – in a wide range of courses that cover basic and advanced nursing skills.
Nursing Courses offered:
Basic Nursing Skills
Basic clinical skills for nurses in Registered Nurse Certification Programs.
Basic communication skills for nurses in Registered Nurse Certification Programs.
2. Advanced Nursing Skills
Clinical and communication skills for nurses when preparing to become charge nurses – a general program and a program for nurses from a specific division.
Assuming responsibility as charge nurses during psychiatric hospitalization shift changes
Skill refresher for IDF nurses
Advanced treatment management in Geriatrics, Neonatology and Surgery clinical specializations for Nurse Practitioners
Advanced training for students in the upper level courses of the various nursing specialization programs.
3. Government licensing exams for nursing specializations
Since 2008, MSR has conducted government licensing exams for 15 nursing specializations such as ICU, Neonatalogy. Midwifery etc. The licensing exams are developed and administered jointly by the Nursing Authority of the Ministry of Health and MSR, under the professional guidance of the National Institute for Testing and Evaluation.
4. Other workshops and projects in nursing for interdisciplinary teams
Improving the experience of the caregiver/patient in the Emergency Department
Cultural accessibility in the healthcare system – developing a training system and certifying trainers
Compassion, compassionate awareness and compassion burnout – a training workshop for interdisciplinary teams in community healthcare units.
A comprehensive system for instilling the SBAR communication approach for effective communication between caregivers.
A workshop to instill basic communication skills for students in the physical therapy degree program.
5. The licensing exams include simulation stations that test both practical and
theoretical knowledge, and focus on the skills needed by specialized senior nurses.
