Licensing and Certification

Advances in the fields of medical imaging requires the training of a large number of technicians who are competent in the operation of the sophisticated equipment, able to supervise the tests using contemporary protocols and proficient in the theoretical knowledge and its application in the practical world of imaging institutes.

MSR, in collaboration with content experts in the fields of MRI and Ultrasound, who will guide the course, have developed the final examination for the technicians’ workshop that combines knowledge assessment and a practical exam. These include the management of a real test using simulated patients and the ability to cope with technical and other challenges they may encounter in the field.

The examinations are undertaken at Sheba’s imaging institute, utilizing the institutes’ actual imaging equipment. The examiners are senior technicians who have been especially trained in MSR’s simulation and oral examination stations. The large number of situations and the combination of knowledge, simulation and oral exam scenarios enables observation of the examinee in a wide range of circumstances and challenges.
