Communication Skills WorkShops

Identifying, Reporting and Treating Domestic Violence

Overview

Domestic violence is a growing social problem, with direct and severe public and mental health implications.

Target Audience

Doctors, nurses, social workers and multi-disciplinary teams

Course Objectives

To improve communication skills for identifying, reporting and treating cases of domestic violence.

Course Description

The medical team plays a central role in identifying, diagnosing and treating victims of domestic violence. Since 2004, MSR has offered advanced simulation-based training program intended to improve clinical and communication skills for medical professionals in this area, by providing skills to help them address domestic violence against women, children or the elderly.

Simulations are suited for professionals from the community and hospital settings, and emphasize cultural differences in the different sectors of Israeli society.
