Target Audience

The course is intended for surgeons with experience in surgical laparoscopy techniques.

Course Objectives

1. Familiarization with surgical equipment and techniques for:

• Laparoscopic hysterectomy
• Laparoscopic myomectomy
• Treatment of recurrent endometriosis

2. Optimal use of various hemostatic modalities, including

• Cauterization (mono-polar and bi-polar)
• Harmonic scalpel
• Ligasure

Course Description

The course focuses on endoscopic suturing (internal and outside the body) and training using advanced pelvic trainer simulators and surgical procedures in the animal laboratory. It also focuses on the structure of the pelvis, ways to reduce complications, and risk management when organizing the operating room.

The course is structured according to the ITEC format, using MSR’s advanced technological capabilities, and includes:

• Live broadcasts of complex endoscopic procedures (such as laparoscopic hysterectomy and myomectomy)
• Practice of surgical skills in the ITEC’s animal laboratories.
• Use of advanced simulators
• Lectures on the state of the art
