Board Examination in Anesthesiology
Target Audience:
Resident Anesthesiologists
Description:
The Israeli Board examination in Anesthesiology was traditionally based on oral discussion of clinical cases. The call for increased objectivity and standardization, along with the need to evaluate examinees' clinical competence, has recently led to some changes. In the examination's new format, introduced in April 2003, the evaluation of clinical skills has been added through specifically designed scenario-based stations in the fields of resuscitation, trauma management, mechanical ventilation, regional anesthesia and crisis management in the operating room.
